Spring Book Update

This year I've read quite a few books already. I mostly read fictional books but I also read a few poetry books and two comic style books, so I will be giving you the updated list on what books I have read so far and a brief opinion on a few of them.

1. Everything Must Go Jenny Han Davis
This book was definitely interesting and had a unique story-line. The book was told through many
different ways such as diary entries, letters and emails. Although because there were multiple ways the
story was told some parts got a bit confusing, but overall it was a good read.

3. Goodbye Days Jeff Zentner
This book is definitely a sadder read and is focused mainly around friendship. Parts of the story is told through the main character thinking about memories that he made with his friends. So parts of it were told in a different way and it wasn't just the same and repetitive throughout the whole book which I enjoyed.

5.  Everything That Makes You Moriah McStay
This book tells two different stories of one girl. The character is the same throughout the book but chapters alternate between which story is being told. And because the main character goes by different names in each version of her life it is a bit confusing at the beginning until you understand whats going on. Overall I really liked this book and would read it again.

6. Love Her Wild Atticus

7. We Were Liars E. Lockhart
This book was quite sad and had a very unexpected twist to it, although I liked it very much. Having a unpredictable twist in the book was definitely refreshing to read as you didn't expect it at all. And it would be a good, quick, and easy summer read considering that its only 200 something pages long.

8. Miracle in the Andes Nando Parrado

9. In the Absence of the Sun Emily Curtis
This was a fairly short poetry book compared to others, especially considering the fact that each page only had one small poem. Some poems were good while others not so much. I don't think I would read through it again except to read the poems I enjoyed most.

10. 13 Reasons Why Jay Asher

11.  The Librarian of Auschwitz Antonio Iturbe
This book was based of a true story but some parts were fictional and added for drama. Despite added things the story was definitely told in a interesting and new perspective. I don't know if I would read it again, although I did like it. It seemed to be very long and because of the story that was being told it wasn't structured in a typical way, which was something new.

12. Big Mushy Happy Lump Sarah Anderson

13. Flight - Volume Four Various authors
This book was great. It's a collection of short comic style stories from various authors/artists.
Most of the stories are very interesting and leave you wondering things, although there were a few
stories that were weirder than expected. Overall I think having so many different types of art and
stories in one book together was refreshing. The entire book wasn't just one style of art and one story,
there were many, many types of art and varying stories.
